I’m Melanie, the founder of Next Step Advocacy. I was a special education teacher for 12 years, working with students from kindergarten through 5th grade and young adults ages 18-22 in a transition program.
Now, I help families navigate the IEP process by providing support, guidance, and advocacy so they can get the services their child needs.
